What you need for your Cook Islands wedding:

  • Your application for your marriage license must be made in person to the Registrar of Marriages in the Cook Islands, at least three working days prior to marriage (not including the day of application). This requirement can sometimes be waived, but requires good reason and a written request must be made in advance. ($45 waiver fee applies)
  • Your passport and birth certificate will be required when filling out the Notice of Intended Marriage at the Registrars Office. If you are divorced, a copy of your Decree Nisi or the death certificate of your previous spouse is required. All documents must be English.
