Pacific Marine Charters operates out of Avarua and offers customers full expertise on the ways of fishing for all the Pacific fish types. The owner skipper, Wayne also is an active member of Cook Islands Whale Research. During the latter half of each year they often encounter these huge mammals and Wayne reports every whale sighting to the Centre.

The thrill of seeing a Marlin leaping from the water and then peeling out the line at breakneck speed will make your heart race. Whether it is the aerobatic antics of the Mahi Mahi (Dolphin Fish) or the sizzling 65km/ph runs of the Paara (Wahoo) or a Yellow Fin Tuna you want to catch, your fishing tour begins at 9am and returns back to shore around 2pm.

Cost is $150pp and includes lunch and cold drinks – or have your own private five hour charter at $650
