A daily trip can be organised from your luxury villa in the Cook Islands, to the famous lagoon of Aitutaki. The lagoon is approximately 12kms wide and 15km long. Its waters reach an average depth of 10.5 metres providing an underwater spectacle of coloured corals and tropical fish. Throughout the lagoon are numerous sand bars, coral ridges and 21 motus (small islands), some of them quite different from the surroundings of your luxury villa on the Cook Islands main island.

During the 1950's the lagoon was used by island-hopping sea planes on international flights. They followed a romantic path known as the Coral Route of the South Pacific. These huge sea planes could carry only 45 passengers but in a very luxurious way.

On arriving by Air Rarotonga at Aitutaki Airport you will be transferred to an 80 foot catamaran for your lagoon cruise and barbecue lunch. Enjoy snorkeling in the crystal clear waters and view the beautiful bounty of tropical fish and corals. Spend a leisurely afternoon on the famous One Foot Island. Return to the transfer station and on to Air Rarotonga for your flight back to your luxury villa in the Cook Islands.
