PICKING THE IDEAL HONEYMOON PACKAGE – WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR

So you have decided to honeymoon in the beautiful Cook Islands.

Honeymoon packages in the Cook Islands will vary considerably depending on what style of property you have chosen, but normally you should expect all to include your accommodation costs, but almost none to include your airfares. You really need to make sure that you have read ‘the small print’ so that you are comparing apples with apples when making your final decision.

If you are considering a package at a larger resort it is likely to include some form of food and beverage discounting for your stay, which is aimed at encouraging you to eat and drink exclusively with them. But remember that one of the delights of the Cook Islands, and Rarotonga in particular, is the wonderful food options and bars scattered all around the island, and pricing is very reasonable.

The honeymoon packages at most properties, but not all, will include airport transfers to and from the airport. With the resorts this is done in coaches, while some smaller establishments collect you in their personal vans. What you do have to keep in mind is that when you honeymoon in the Cook Islands you aren’t going to be stuck in your chosen resort – you have multiple options. And if you decide only to book your accommodation, and then decide what you want when you arrive to Rarotonga, that will work equally as well. It may just cost a bit more.
